The Guppy sponge is great for cleaning your aquarium in no time at all. This thick foam sponge with its fish shape fits perfectly in your hand, helping you to work quickly and tirelessly – and you’ll never have to change your grip on it either. The special and innovative shape of the Guppy Sponge allows you to clean even hard-to-reach corners and angles in the aquarium without having to empty the entire aquarium beforehand. The two different, exchangeable pads are a huge help for any more difficult tasks:

• The rough surface has a special structure that will remove even stubborn lime scale and algae deposits from the panes (for jobs like this, you would normally use a blade). The Guppy sponge reduces the risk of accidentally cutting silicone seams or even scratching the panes.

• With the fine layer you can remove dirt from plastic surfaces that would normally have to be removed and soaked in aggressive cleaning agents.

Thanks to the practical “Guppy snout”, you can also clean the spaces between the overflow shafts in no time at all – and you can even clean your large-leaved aquatic plants too (but please be gentle!). When you use the Guppy sponge to conjure the algae away from the leaves, you should always support them with one hand. You can also use the sponge to rid your silicone seams of any unsightly discolouration! The Guppy sponge can even be used for cleaning the outside surfaces of the panes. You only have to polish them with a microfibre cloth or a chamois leather pad afterwards.

Good to know:

All our cleaning pads are non-scratch and gentle on glass. Still, to avoid unsightly and annoying scratches in the aquarium glass, you should always make sure that there is no gravel or sand between the cleaning pad and the glass. Before using the Guppy Pads in your aquarium for the first time, wash them lightly with tap water– then it’s all systems go! Remember you don’t have to dispose of your Guppy pads after just one cleaning job – you can use them often! Just wash and wring out the dirty pads thoroughly under tap water, then allow them to dry.
