The scratch-free Blue Wave Melamine Hand Sponge is the all-rounder among our cleaning products for the aquarium – it’s perfectly suited for the inside and outside cleaning of your tank. You can use both sides of the sponge, and its deep cleaning action guarantees unbeatable results. Any algae on your panes will shrink in fear when they see the Blue Wave sponge coming at them! The unique construction with the “Blue Wave” actually reinforces the sponge, guaranteeing a longer life. The best results are achieved by applying light pressure to the sponge. This will remove even the tiniest particles from the surfaces to be cleaned. Our sponge can be used on all smooth surfaces of an aquarium. BUT – please don’t use it on paint and use it only when it’s wet!
Good to know:
All our cleaning pads are non-scratch and gentle on glass. Still, to avoid unsightly and annoying scratches in the aquarium glass, you should always make sure that there is no gravel or sand between the cleaning pad and the glass. Before you use the Blue Wave in and on your aquarium for the first time, just wash it lightly with tap water – then it’s all systems go for squeaky-clean panes! Remember you don’t have to dispose of your Blue Wave sponge after only one cleaning job – you can use it often! Just wash and wring out the dirty sponge thoroughly under tap water a few times, then allow it to dry.
